Chii: Oh? Looks like we have a visitor! Seems like you've hit land, and high up in the sky too! Welcome, welcome! Let's just call this isle our own Isle of Skye that's.. well.. in the Sky! Take a tour around this little Isle and come explore and learn about the people living here! Just remember not to make too big of a mess of this place or you might just anger the Gods... Anyways, I'll be your tour guide for today and drop by for a cup of tea along your way in! We'll have some overall information to get you started!  Well, I might be kidding about the tea.

Chii: Here's the central part of the Isle where most of the people live! So have a look around and talk to the people for awhile. Don't be shy! They're all quite friendly! Maybe not all... but.. They talk at least! Go on go on, don't be wasting your time talking to me!

Weapon: Watering Hose He has a harpoon, or two, laying around under his bed that he trains with. He prefers the olden ones with just a string rather than the modern crossbow like ones but hey, gotta try them all right? Because carry them around is a constant pain, he usually walks around the camp weaponless. So. Um.

Sexual orientation: Bi and confused.

Personality: Ashland is that awkward turtle that talks too much when he shouldn't, especially around people. He doesn't know what to talk about but he tries. He's much more comfortable with the sea animals that he knows won't judge and rarely have complicated thoughts. He loves trying out new things and his interest span changes as quick as a girl's wardrobe. He's quick to adapting to environment and improvisation is his only way to solutions. Ashland can't find the will to follow the rules or steps to a plan and a lot of effort is needed for him to even remember what's step 5 after step 4. He rarely listens to what people tell him to do and just does whatever his gut tells him, and hope and pray it works. He also has that adorable smile that can convince a couple of people when he's not too busy being awkward, which is almost never.

Appearance: Ashland stands at about 5"5', which is neither here nor there, and he isn't sure if that's a good thing or not. He has dark brown hair that sticks out at the top in front and grows wild from there on. His brown eyes seem to sparkle up at any new fun things to do and he mostly has a smile slapped on that face. But occasionally his eyes can turn dark, cold and frightening, but he has no control over that at all. He has a very lean figure, that actually looks skinny underneath his clothes, evident from his lack of any real training or exercise other than swimming with the dolphins.

Mortal Parent: Camellia Kain, Ashland's mother who was caring for her son, but never noticed enough about his fear problems. She was left alone, poor and planless when she had Ashland, gripping onto whatever job she could to keep them both alive. Val has always been a great help looking out for her and Ashland. And she can't thank him enough, even in her dying breaths. Val McLain became his foster father who took care of Ashland most of his life and would be who Ashland would consider a father.

Biography: That quiet timid little boy to see in the corner? That's most probably Ashland. He was once a very different person, afraid to go out and play in the ocean, afraid to pet the neighbour's dog, afraid to do anything. But even though he's scared to do anything, doesn't mean he doesn't like anything. There are only a couple of places the boy would be; home or at the aquarium. His mother was best friends with the owner, Val, thus his frequent visits there. He knows he's safe there because he's looking at the animals through a glass that's protecting him. That's when he start to really appreciate the things out there, start to open up to more things. Once he heard something spoke to him, a sea otter from it's exclosure. He was so excited he dragged his mum over to tell her about it, but all the adults around her laughed it off. She would've believed him, but that was the first time he heard it, and never again.

But when another time came to try and prove to his mother again, he never got it in time. In his young days he's seen a lot of stuff, including his mother's funeral. At 7, he didn't even know what cancer is, all he knows is that it kills you. Val took him in, having known Ashland since he learnt to walk. And literally, the aquarium became his home. He was always alone, just sitting by the glass, staring at the carefree animals swimming around, trying to brush off the happy voices he hears in his head all day. Everyday was the same, until one, someone sat down right beside him. Val's son, if he wasn't wrong. Jasper was it? He was never around, always out traveling. 19 Year Old just began talking to him and it was as if he got Ashland out of his little comfort shell, and never went back ever again. Jasper was like any other rebellious teenager, except possibly a little more suicidal. He'd like to call it adventurous though. Step by step, Jasper showed Ashland the small wonders in the aquarium, the big ones, and then the outside world. Every little step they could was exciting, scary, and amazing all at once. And sooner or later, he was wanting more.

Jasper also seem to be the one person that would believe Ashland about the voices in his head. He didn't laugh, he didn't throw it out at a kid's thing, but he treated it like an adventure, off to find out whenever the happy voices became sad. It comforted him, that he wasn't going mad or anything or end up getting this cancer that would kill him too.

When he was old enough at 12, Ashland started to work in the aquarium, started going over the glass of protection, and started to understand these carefree animals more. With Jasper back out on his long, long journey over, this time, Asia, it started off as more of a way to pay back to Val for helping him all the time. But it changed to be something he enjoyed every day. He still heard their voices all the time, but he kept it to himself, somehow managing to talk back to the animals. It was just between him and them, not even Jasper knows because he was so sure now, everyone would think he lost his screws. He would be able to find out what's wrong with the animals faster than any vet, and better than any trainer out there in the aquarium. He grew to love being that close to them, and them him.

Ashland was opening up a lot more, taking after a lot like Jasper, always hungry to trying out new things. Everything was going well for him, even the voices in his head. But among those happy seals talking about how nice the sun was, or the grumpy fish that always complain about how one of them poops too much, there was this... new sound, a constant ringing in his head. Like someone singing. It was such a lovely voice, but where did it come from? It was driving him insane, day in day out, even in his sleep, when all the other animals have quieten down. One night, Ashland screamed at it to shut the hell up. But it only grew louder, taking him in a certain direction. Towards one of the deep enclosures. Why was he coming here again? He didn't know. He didn't know anything anymore. And he just kept walking, silently putting one foot in front of the other, when he finally caught a glimpse of what was making that ringing sound. He last sight of her smirk before he found himself submerged under the water, some force holding him down. But somehow, amongst the panic, the anger, and the returning fear, there was a calmness. When he stopped thinking about dying, he wasn't exactly drowning. He found himself being able to fight back to force holding him down, a cry for help amongst the animals and the dolphins charging out at that.. thing. Ashland stared at it, with a glare that somehow froze the monster in her place, and she fled as soon as she could. He came back to reality when he was pulled out of the water, Jasper back home once again. He was so afraid that he just poured out everything to his older brother figure, starting all the way from the animals talking.

Jasper knew of this place where might be to help Ashland and after going through his vast list of contacts, he got the way. Ashland took the time to part with the animals and Val, promising to come back as often as possible as the animals gave him their best puppy-dog eyes, making him promise again and again. And he was off to the camp. Ashland was more gamed about it than usual, it seemed like a whole reset button which didn't seem like too bad of an idea. His life was just with the aquarium, but as selfish as it may be, he wanted to see more than what's outside from the glass. Now, Ashland was quickly claimed by Triton and is one of those new comer at 16, late, awkward, like those kind of exchange student that join in in the middle of the semester. Once in awhile he always sneak out to take a quick run to his home and talk with everyone. Only ever been caught like 8 times. Out of the 50 odd times he done it.

Powers: Ashland's most obvious power is that he can actually communicate with sea animals where somehow, voices with fill up his heads and draws his attention to whichever is talking. Somehow it just works like that and he isn't going to question the mechanics of it. He just talks out loud to reply to them and they understand him perfectly. It was something he had and hid from everyone for years, so it was one of the few powers he could totally control. Unlike his father and his fancy conch shell, Ashland somehow inherited the ways of inducing fear into people. But he does it with his eyes. It's not something he can switch on and off right now, and it only comes on like a defense mechanism when he really needs it. Though it'll be mighty useful if he knew how to control it, huh? Maybe that's why he has no control over it. And lastly, Hydrokinesis is an apparent part of him as well, slowly but surely learning that ways. It's not as strong as Poseidon kids, but it's enough to humour himself. And, cough, protect himself.

Talents: Ashland is a very fast runner, somehow his legs brings him to places (dude). He somehow also has a very good memory, to send out important or not so important messages. He had the idea of just being a messenger around camp to earn a couple of bucks. But that's all there is to him.

Flaws: He can't seem to find the need to listen to other people telling him what to do. Basically, he's stubborn with a small ego, especially when he thinks that people are implying that he can't do things right, because he's just a minor demigod. Occasionally, Ashland reverts back to his old fearful self when things do go wrong and often puts all blame on himself and only himself, giving him a nervous breakdown.
