Phoenix was looking around for the spear and she couldn't seem to find it, she just needed a weapon of some sort. She soon felt something sharp jab into her arm and she winced trying not to cry out in pain. Phoenix then tried to get her flames to spark and she was trying to concentrate on it trying to make the fire come up at will, and soon small little flames were dancing on her finger tips. She knew this wasn't strong enough but she didn't have time to make the fire bigger but giving it two minutes to change the intensity would be fine. She soon closed her eyes feeling the teeth of the Cetus still in her skin and after two minutes she forcefully stuck her hand on the beast hoping to damage it some. If not she needed to find a weapon because her powers would run out shortly there wasn't enough energy to use for a long amount of time. "I'm not a huge fan of canoeing anymore, or of large bodies of water for that matter."

Letting out a sigh, Alex swung downwards on the beast again as it clung to Phoenix. "I swear, this never happened before." he panted, stumbling a little in the boat trying to keep his balance. He got an idea though. "Phoenix, use one of the oars!" It wouldn't do much damage, but monsters were still affected by mortal items through blunt force, it just couldn't kill them.

Phoenix could feel the blood trickling down her arm and she sighed a bit. "Yea I doubt this would be a daily thing going on and such." She said and then soon heard him yelling at her to grab one of the oars and she picked it up and swung it to block the tail from hitting her and she she wacked at the Cetus with the oar.

Alex smirked a little bit as he watched the oar make contact. He took another swing at the monster while she retracted the oar as well, and tried to block it's incoming attack. "Now maybe, we should try to reach shore, I'll do my best to hold it off!" He groaned at the strain on his legs keeping balance, holding back complaints because complaints sucked. He really hoped this thing died or ran away soon.

The cetus spits a hard stream of water at Phoenix, with 10 HP.

Phoenix listened to Alex as he talked and she sighed a bit and grabbed the other oar and she began to stick them in the water trying to use them as fast as she could. It hurt her arm that was bit into and bleeding but to save herself and Alex from future and more fatal injuries she was rowing as fast as she could ignoring the attacks form the monster.

Alex tried to force the monster away from Phoenix and more towards him as she rowed. His reflexes got ahead of him, trying to shift her out of the line of fire of the water shot the sea monster had sent, and he responded to it with another slash with his sword, hoping to do some damage unlike the last attempt. "Wanna take a nap when we get back to shore?" he quizzed lightly, trying to keep her mood up.

The cetus twisted its tail around the boat to keep them from escaping and thwapped Phoenix with it.

When the Cetus stopped their boat Phoenix groaned. "Come on!" She growled hating this stupid thing, how was it even in camp, why was it here? She then saw the tail come towards her and she tried to duck, and as she did she spotted a dagger and grabbed it. She then noticed the Cetus was near by and she stood up on the boat and held the dagger lightly in her hand, and she jumped up off the boat and onto the Cetus trying to stab it in the back.

Alex's eyes widened greatly at the sight of Phoenix leaping on to the monster. "Are you crazy?" he shouted, taking a stab of his own at the monster as it wrapped around the canoe. He didn't know what Phoenix was thinking, she was already hurt pretty badly and this was just putting herself in even more danger. With that though, Alex looked around his feet in the Canoe and was relieved to spot a first aid kit tucked under one of the little benches. They were going to need it.

At 5HP, Cetus was not happy and twisted around to bite at the lady on his back.

Phoenix knew what she was doing was very dangerous, and was breathing heavily at this point. She was tired of not being able to hit the stupid Cetus and soon she concentrated on her blade in her hand trying to put the heat into the blade and it was taking more energy than she thought but soon when it began to have a faint glow of red she gasped for air and she brought the dagger down forcefully.
